MANTAX RADIO TAXIS LIMITED
Established in 1962 and under current ownership since 1978 Mantax Radio Taxis has now firmly established itself as Manchester's leading supplier of purpose built Hackney Carriages to the Manchester business community. In recent years the profile of our business has changed significantly, with the development of a substantial account customer base, built on a demand for purpose built Taxis from a wide range of business and personal users in Manchester. Customers include many of the country’s leading financial, legal and media institutions. We also specialise in the supply of services to users with special needs. The wheelchair accessible conditions that apply to taxis in Manchester have created an increasing demand. Our wheelchair bound customers tell us that they are much happier travelling in the same taxis as able bodied passengers. Our company focus is on delivering a better standard of service to customers. This has resulted in the company growing and rapidly attracting more customers and as a result more drivers. Today, with a fleet of over 250, Mantax are the market leaders. As a result of the growth of the business in recent years Mantax outgrew its old premises in Ancoats and has now relocated to its new state of the art call centre at Corbett St, which lies in the shadow of the new City of Manchester stadium. Mantax installed its own Windows 2003 network on which runs the Marandy Future Taxi booking and dispatch software, with e-mail and paperless fax direct to the booking agent’s computer. The system integrates with the latest Inter-Tel Axxess phone system, so booking agents are presented with the details of the customer who is calling, on screen before they even answer a call. Key account customers get their own dedicated DDI booking line and the phone system is programmed to give priority to such callers. Monitors in the control room display live information on incoming calls to ensure that all are answered promptly. The all new air conditioned environment has certainly proved popular with all the staff at Mantax. In order for the management team to provide an effective and quality service 24/7 to both customers and drivers alike they have undertaken a full review of personnel within the call centre and structured the workforce to now include 3 supervisors, 13 call centre operatives including 5 dispatchers, 3 accounts and admin staff and 2 technicians. We firmly believe that we are well placed to continue providing a quality service to our existing and future customers.
